During this Safer At Home period, my husband and I enjoy more frequent walks. As we stroll along our driveway and down our country road, I reflect on the letters from my great-grandmother to my great-grandfather during their courtship in 1901 and 1902. These words are timeless to me.
“but you know we must stand lots in this world, we must always think things are done as God wants it You know we have but a short life to live here and perhaps only a few days”
“I am glad I could come home It is best at home no matter where you are I was a lot of places now lately but there is no place like home”
